Created to appeal to young city customers, the Peugeot HR1 Concept presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show blends different body styles - urban hatch, coupé, SUV.

Its urban credentials include the compact dimensions (a length of 3.67 m and very short front and rear overhangs) and the raised ride height.

The design of the Peugeot HR1 Concept applies the new stylistic codes first unveiled with the SR1 Concept.

It shares the same headlamps with their chiselled design and the single "floating" front grille which seems to be detached from the rest of the body.

The profile is characterized by the arrow-shaped line that starts from the roofline, continues with the A-pillar, then turns backwards and defines a character line that sculpts the side door and rear quarter.

A distinctive element is represented by the two electric "scissor" doors, that facilitate access to the cabin in case of restricted spaces, such as in city parking, or in small garages.

The overall dynamic appearance is strengthened by the flowing wheel arches, large wheels and the raised sections above the rear windscreen, reminiscent of the "double bubble" roof design of the RCZ Coup

Among the details are the the two-tone interplay of polished and chrome materials, full LED rear lights, and the rear roof bars which serve as a hinge for the opening of the one-piece, dark tinted glass tailgate.
