Volkswagen has released some design sketches that preview a new model codenamed NMS (New Midsize Sedan), that will debut at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show and will go on sale in late 2011.
The sketches were published by Volkswagen on its official Facebook page, and preview the New Midsize Sedan model - hence the name NMS - that will go on sale in the North America Market in the third quarter of 2011.
The NMS could be a replacement of the current Passat, as the new generation Passat - presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show - will not be sold in the US.
The design adopts the brand's DNA for the front end and a modern and solid look for the side and rear.
The NMS will make its official debut at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show.
