At QuickSilver, we have developed a stainless steel system to allow an increase in volume and pitch as the rev’s increase. The QuickSilver system can be used regularly around town, allowing conversation and listening to the radio - as the revs increase the note rises and the volume increases. At moderate pace it does not spoil the luxury of this Maserati but at higher engine speeds the V8 engine takes on a more sporting note to suit the nature of the Maserati badge.
ZF transmission includes Auto Normal Mode, Auto Sport Mode, Auto ICE Mode, Manual Mode. Auto Normal mode shifts gears automatically at low rpm to achieve the most comfortable ride and at higher rpm when driving style becomes more sporty. Auto Sport Mode changes gears 40% faster than in Normal Mode, downshifts when lifting off as a corner approaches; then it activates the stability control, stiffening Skyhook suspension, and opening exhaust valves when engine is over 3000 rpm (in GranTurismo S Automatic). Auto ICE mode reduces maximum torque at the wheel, prevents 1st gear starts, and only allows gear changes below 3000 rpm. Maserati has released a new video on their new GranTurismo S model. It features the car at different angles with the Manhattan skyline in the background. This is the third model in the GranTurismo lineup. This particluar car has a six-speed ZF transmission and a V8 engine that produces 433-hp. It has a top speed of 183-mph.
