ItaliaSpeed and FiatBlog.nl have revealed the first images of a modern Lancia Stratos remake. According to the available information the car is a privately commissioned one-off based on the Ferrari F430.
UPDATE: the new Lancia Stratos was NOT designed by Fenomenon Holistic Design, as first reported. More information on the project can be found at www.new-stratos.com.
A number of rumors have recently emerged about a special one-off inspired by the legendary 1970's Lancia Stratos which has been commissioned by a private collector.
The images include spyshots of the car under testing on the Balocco and static shots of a maquette.
The car is based on a Ferrari F430 Scuderia.
A different concept of a Stratos re-edition was unveiled by Fenomenon at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005.
